2v2 Tournament

Discuss ongoing tournaments and plans for new tournaments

I think both types of team tournaments will be fun.

It would be really great if SnotlinG/Piranha could modify the tourney code to allow players who aren't on the same team to team up in MoonKnights tourney. Then there wouldn't be confusion between a 2v2 tourney and a true 'team' tourney like Igor wants to run.

Absolutely true. Meat and fish should be on different plates. Here are teams, and there are any two players.

Good Guys team joins the tournament with single entry with random players from the team.

Okay, so no Good Guy teams for this tournament then.

I think I know why, Igor is afraid that if he isn't on all of his team's pairings, he thinks it will hurt Good Guy's ladder status! :D

Moonknight, I don't quite understand what did you mean. We set a pair for this tournament. Players can be different each round, me or not - this doesn't much matter. Are this ok for your tournament? Let us know to understand you more.

No, this tournament is fixed pairings.

So if you have five members, you can have up to 2 set pairings.

We're at 14 pairs into this tournament now! Let's get to 16 and make it final...

16 would allow 4 groups of round robin play for the first round, top 2 teams move on to next round.

Hey, moon, this way to join (one entry with random players) was offered by Chazar some days ago and wasn't objected by nobody including you. Also I see no difference who will play in a pair, two fixed players or two random.
I see that what you said above is unfriendly to Good Guys team and to me personally.
Also I think you do something illogical, thus I am not sure on what do you plan to do in other tournaments. Because of this I'm forced to stop your participation in all tournaments which I manage from now till 01.01.2015. Hope you will understand this rightly. I don't plan to continue this date farther if all will be ok with you. 8-)
Good luck to all participants in this tourney! This looks very unusual one but should be interesting.

lol, i'm not sure how to respond Igor.

I appreciate your love for this game and all you've done to contribute to this new tournament system.

With that said, I have 28 individuals right now entered into the 2v2 tournament that I have suggested and outlined (and another pair possibly to join as well).

Why can't we do this tournament the way I've laid it out and then start the next tournament as you have suggested?
