  • I think I would trade Agrippa's ring against the EyeOfKGB at any time, except maybe on the smallest of maps - or maps without ruins. Therefore I would value it higher.
  • I would probably trade the InfernalCranium for Ken's Boots, and I would actually swap their prices: both group move +3 and negate terrain can be used to surprise any square counting enemy.
  • I would also swap the price for Narya with the WebbedRing, since a city bonus + pillaging comes into play much more often than a bonus against fliers, ever since fliers were rightly prohibited from using roads and since the ranger appeared.
  • I would pay more for BalinsProtector than for TitansAdament, as a mere 15 warding seems no enough to offset both drawbacks.
It is fun the see the price for Ragnarök. I think people complained how it was the worst item ever - well, but I guess that was before Barbarians appeared (and before it helped with pillaging). ;)

Huh, you put Agrippa's Ring above the Eye? I was arguing the other way around (Eye more expensive than Ring).

Aha, I switched their costs now :-)
But I think the Eye will be a little bit less valued in 0.92, since all ruins will have undead guardians it wont be so easy to just go and collect allies...

That is very true, snapping up free allies was what made the eye so good. It may need to come down in price now. It would be neat if the eye could show you the contents of any enemy stack. Might be a bit too good for a level 1 though.

That would be better suited to a new skill like 'scouting' that allowed revealing units in an enemy stack from a certain distance (higher the level of the skill the further away you could see the contents of an enemy stack). Then that skill could be given to certain units and heroes.

I would think that a skill to allow to look inside stack should come at a price, i.e. a gold cost per use similar to the cost of producing, moving and sacrificing a crow/scout. The crow/scout mechanism is tedious, so something that eases it would be nice. However, one can defend against crows with eagles, etc., so any simplification through an item or skill should be flawed or also allow for a defense.

However, I would suggest to move the relevant replies about this topic into a separate thread.

Please keep this thread about item goldvalues - which I consider more or less closed now :-)

Any ideas about viewing enemy stacks are appreciated, but I think it would be better in its own separate thread - making it more visible to other users as well that might have some ideas/feedback :-)
