I am fighting myself, svaxjo vs svaxjo, in this game, gameid=40441. Is there any way to get my lost units back?

Looks weird that
Did your Eagle fly into the city directly after you occupied it?
You didnt lose any units in the battle as far as I can tell?

Was there any issue during your occupy of the city with your first army?

I plundered the city, then went elsewhere with only my hero. All the other units were still in the city when I also moved my Eagle into it (this was a few moves after). Then the battle menu showed, eagle vs nothing... no occupy/plunder menu appeared after, but I noticed all my units previously in the city were gone. The battle was registered in the fight history as battle, svaxjo vs svaxjo. I exited the game and now I get the occupy menu when I go into this game... still haven't clicked anything..
