Assassin Ability Bug

My only turn 2 battle in 21406 shows the Giant with 34 strength (25+10-1) for the first fight, then 35 strength immediately after killing my dwarf. The Ambush then took effect and slew him. I don't know if this is a display bug, or a more real problem, but the -1 chaos was removed after the first fight.
