Terrain+Defend Leadership does not stack?!

There seems to be something wrong with the terrain based leadership and leadership items:

I had a Level1 Horse Lord holding the items Sir Valor (+3 Leadership Defense), Skeleton Warden (+3 Leadership Defense) and Ismaels relic (+2 Leadership).

The poor guy was attacked and killed in the open, but the overall leadership value was just 8.

I think his +5 Leadership in the open should have stacked with all his items to 13 leadership total in defense, right?!

The gameid is 23960, second battle in turn 10. The game has progressed already and no action is required, but I thought it worthwhile to report the bug, no?!

I checked your battle. This is a flaw we have in our current system. I knew it was a problem with antiair before but now with the horse lord its when equipping items that only give bonus in certain occations like attack / defend too. Good that you reported this. It will require quite a lot of work to fix this so it will be one of the version 0.9 points to fix. So for now only the highest bonus will come into play. They wont be added as they should.

I find it pretty weird that items that provide an Anti-Air Bonus to the Group are shown as Leadership AntiAir. This breaks the otherwise neat abstraction. I think it might be easier if you would distinguish between AntiAir and GroupAntiAir, just like you already did for Ambush and GroupAmbush.

If AntiAir becomes its own category similar to Ambush, things might become more simple, e.g. in my calculator I modelled the "Bonus" datatype as a record with 4 entries:
- Kind = {Morale, Fear, Leadership, Chaos, Siege, AntiAir, GroupAntiAir, GroupAmbush, etc.}
- Mode = {AttackOnly, DefenseOnly, ModeIndependent}
- Terrain = {Open, Forest, Swamp, ..., TerrainIndependent}
- Strength = Integer

This then opens up pretty much all kind of combinations, e.g. having an attack bonus in a certain terrain only, or allowing the unicorn to negate terrain based morale bonuses.

Agreed 100%. Especially since you need Chaos Anti-Air items just to compensate the DK since the Leadership AA items don't stack with his Chaos bonus allowing an Archon to be extra effective against him.

The assassin's city chaos is also does not stack with ordinary chaos items.

That much was to be expected, I guess, but I just report it here for completeness.

Oh, and here is something new, but probably related:

Giving my Assassin the item "Patriarch" (+6 Leadership when Attacking) is shown as -2(4). I did not actually attack with it then. The "Bow of Icarus" is displayed correctly, for comparison.

Obviously it's with the Assassin's Chaos since Chazar stated it 2 posts above :lol:

Any terrain based leadership/chaos is affected as noted by the thread topic.

My poor death knight in Illuria ffa gets only negative bonuses from the otherwise cool items Titans Adement and Shadow Dancer. Only positive thing he gets is +2 move from shadow dancer which is canceled out as it should be Titan's adament. Hope I'm not attacked this turn for the poor guy has -6 leadership on defense, -6 defense and -5% ambush.
