I can search level 2's 3 times

I reported this in another topic, but now I can see that it appears to be consistent so I think it deserves its own topic. When searching a level 2 ruin, I can do it 3 times before the actual battle takes place. Experience is rewarded for the first two tries, even though no battle is fought and no other reward is offered.

I'll let you know next time it happens. I'll stop on one search instead of 3. For now there's game 22235, ruin Haunted Village (close to my capital), hero Goober. The battle reports are too old now, but the History is still there.

Game 22235, hero RuienHO. He's searched it once and gained a level. The ruin is still "Unexplored". This phenomenon only happens with level 2 ruins. I've left the game alone until you can get a look.

I tried replicate it with your Hero and this time the search worked fine of course.
However I can see in the history its something suspicious going on.
When you searched first time, did you get any response from the server or did you have to make a refresh to see your new Hero-level? I dont see any battlereport from your first search (you can see the battle vs 4 undead from my search), also the history record hasnt recorded any reward from your search which is a bit strange also (you got gold from my search).
I have added some more logging on ruins to try to capture it. Let me know if it happens again!

Hello again.

We're back to that same bug, game 22235. Notice my Paladin "Draconis" has gained a level, no battle reports. He's searched the ruin he is standing on twice so far. I stopped everything after confirming the bug, so there should be nothing to disturb your investigation.

once again I tried to replicate, but no luck (your hero has searched the ruin successfully now)
I have added some extra logging for this game that I will leave on, in case it happens again (seems to be only this game?).

When you searched did you get any response from the server or did you have to make a refresh to see your new xp / level?
Did you move all units there as a stack, or did you meet up there from several locations?
Did you have your units grouped while searching or not?

Just trying to pin down the issue :-/

All grouped when searching. I think one ghost moved there separately. As for server response: the screen fades out as if for a battle report, but there is no report and I must refresh. It was not only in this game, although it is lately. I'm thinking it might have to do with games started in a particular time period. So, it may not even be an ongoing bug.

What webbrowser are you using?

Yea I guess it is some bug thats from a certain time, which explains why we dont see it so often.
Anyway, lets keep looking for it, would be good to findout exactly whats causing it...

Alright, I'll keep an eye out for it. Next time I need to search a level 2 in that game I will stop and let you have it right away. I'm using Firefox for this game.
