Solo: From the very beginning of the game, I fought with yellow on roughly equal terms. However, yellow initially attacked me heavily. This was facilitated by his earlier acquisition of elementals, apparently obtained in the ruins. Gradually and slowly, I fought back and began to gain the advantage. And at that point, green and blue surreder, and I found myself sandwiched between yellow and black.

Solo: A few turns ago, my peace with green expired. And I saw many of his armies approaching my cities. But war between us didn't start because black attacked him. I thought this: since green wanted to fight me, our forces and number of cities were roughly comparable. From this, I concluded that green would be able to resist black for quite some time. piranha: I was pushed by green and he was able to burn 2 and take 1 city (just for 1 turn) with a single sea serpent. We came to standof at the twins where we both maxed wall and sat with large armies. But ruin money allowed me to get good production and some heroes. So during our stand still he was focused to the south while I prepared my breakout attack. When I finally attacked the Iron Islands I was able to take all of them with minimal losses in 2-3 turns. Its hard to defend that position. I was also able to kill a few heroes that came rushing back so I think thats what got him. I was surprised that blue surrendered. It seemed like it would be both you and yellow but yellow game up and Im not sure if you still had a decent chance at that point. Were you in NAP or still at war when he surrendered?
