Getting a good hero + alias offer is TOP SKILL in this game

i hope you intend to give full description and transparency on this issue

pleaseeee consider removing the gold cap

i think its ok to give me an offer i can't afford this will allow me to be ready next game

not giving me the offer will not allow me to upgrade my skill.

The full description is going to be quite complex and involve several tables of data. I already described most of it in another post that you've already read.

In simple terms, you need to have about 1500 gold to *have a chance* at a L1 hero with the best ally (Red Dragon). L2+ heroes require +250 gold per level to that 1500 base cost. You can of course get hero and lesser ally offers for much less gold.

hero offer is what makes the diff between winning and losing the vague replay i got is very far from transparency

i\we need to know changes and some practical info

if turn 12 with 3 heroes how much gold do i need to get a red dragon and if i remove one hero how will it upgrade my chances

here is a partial list of unanswered questions
max/min gold needed for lvl 1 hero
max/min gold needed for lvl 2 hero
max/min gold needed for lvl 3 hero
max/min gold needed for lvl 4 hero
max/min gold needed for lvl 5 hero
max/min gold needed for alias

here is a partial list of behaviour questions
if i should get a lvl 3 hero with red dragon but only have 1400 gold will i get a level 1 with dragon or a level 3 with other alias
you said 8 possible alias so what are chances of getting an alloy is it 8/9 or is it turn/gold based

are there anymore caps but gold or is it the only unfair criterium??

there are so many more unanswered questions if you just remove the caps so we can see the offer even if we cant afford it it'll help a lot

Gold Requirements:
L1 Hero: 400-1150 gold
L2-L5 Hero: +250 gold per level. L2-L5 heroes aren't available until certain turns (can't recall exactly right now but check my prior post on when they become available).

Turn 12 question:
See above for gold cost for the hero. Add 800 for the minimum Red Dragon cost (or 1250 for the max cost which is worst case). It's impossible to say how much removing 1 hero will improve your chances unless you tell me how much gold you start with. If you have 4000 gold it won't matter if you remove 1 hero. If you have only 1500 gold you can increase your chances if you remove 1 hero.

Behavior question:
If you have 1400 gold and get a L3 hero offer you won't get a Red Dragon. The hero cost alone will be 900 gold and so you would need 1700 gold to get a Red Dragon with that hero. Allies always come *after* the hero cost so any allies you'd be offered would come out of the remaining 500 gold.

Allies:
You need at least 500 gold left after the hero cost to have a chance at an ally. Between 500-999 gold you have a 50% chance for 1 ally, 1000-1499 you get 1-2 allies (50%). At 1500-1999 you get 1-3 allies (33%). At 2000-3499 you get 2-3 allies (50%). At 3500+ you get 3 allies. The ally is randomly chosen from the 8 possible allies. If you can't afford that ally (for example you have 501 left over gold and roll a Red Dragon costing 800) then you get no allies (note that if you rolled for 3 allies but can only afford 2 of the type you rolled you will get 2 of them).

Criteria:
Gold determines your hero level and potential allies.
The number of heroes you already have affects the chance of getting a hero offer. There is a 10% minimum chance to get a hero offer as long as you have 400 gold. There is a 75% maximum chance to get a hero (regardless of how much gold you have) if you already have 1+ heroes.

Gil, KGBs wiki entry is out now so you can read up good information about how heroes are rolled.

The idea to display offers regardless of cost is actually very nice. I also think that this would help learning by doing, rather than wiki reading!

However, I am not yet so sure about the Ally-Strategy: Do you guys really plunder until you have enough for a dragon? (It is quite unfortunate that replays don't show whether a city was plundered or not.)

I can never get myself to plunder an early spider or a similarly useful unit. I know my lack of plundering is my weakness, but whenever I hold money, I don't ever seem to get that dragon within 3 turns...

The game can't display offers regardless of cost because it doesn't do any of the calculations unless you have the necessary gold to start with. I think it would only frustrate players if they saw things like 'you could have had a L3 hero with a Red Dragon this turn if only you had more money'. That would be like saying you could have been a millionaire if you just bought Google stock 10 years ago instead of stock XYZ.

It should take on average 4.5 turns (roughly 1/9 chance per turn) to get that Red Dragon ally if you are going the ally route.

I don't plunder useful units but I very often plunder marginal ones like Dwarfs if there are no hills. Even semi marginal like Minotaurs often get plundered. I also under spend on a unit in my capitol (scout or Lt Inf) and aggressively search nearby L1 ruins etc. Early allies of any kind can be huge.

wow that's a complex set of rules

please correct me if i'm wrong
hero offer is regulated by turn, gold cost and gold cap
gold cap for hero offer is regulated by amount of heros you already got
alias offer is regulated by gold cost and gold cap

i made this table for getting 90% or more chances for hero offer
to get max chances for a hero and be lucky i need to have more gold then the gold cap and the gold cost.

hero gold cap cap cap cap cap cap cap cap
level cost 0 heros 1 heros 2 heros 3 heros 4 heros 5 heros 6 heros 7 heros
1 850 950 990 1290 1790 2490 3390 8090 15590
2 1050 950 990 1290 1790 2490 3390 8090 15590
3 1350 950 990 1290 1790 2490 3390 8090 15590
4 1750 950 990 1290 1790 2490 3390 8090 15590
5 2250 950 990 1290 1790 2490 3390 8090 15590

i will also need to add 1100 gold to the gold cost for 100% alias offer.

is this post true?

You got it.

The whole right side of your table (the cap part) is always the same regardless of game turn or hero level. That's why I put it in 2 separate tables.

i think i got it here is my get lucky table.

5H 4H 3H 2H 1H 0H
3390 2490 1790/1950 1290/1950 990/1950 950/1950 T 1-6
3390 2490 1790/2150 1290/2150 1050/2150 1050/2150 T 7-12
3390 2490 1790/2450 *1350/2450 1350/2450 1350/2450 T 13-18
3390 1750/2850 1790/2850 1750/2850 1750/2850 1750/2850 T 19-24
3390 2250/3350 2250/3350 2250/3350 2250/3350 2250/3350 T 25-99

from this table if its (*)turn 13 and i have 2 heros id need 1350 gold to get a lucky hero offer and 2450 gold to get lucky in hero and alias offer.

this also means if i have 6 lower level heros at turn 25 with 3350 gold it will be advised to remove 2 heros and get max chances for a level 5 hero

is this also correct?
